What's new in the iPhone 15 Pro compared to the iPhone 14 Pro?

Finally, the month of the iPhone has arrived, and the brand-new Apple iPhone 15 Pro and Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max release date is September 22. In this blog, we dive into the upgrades of the iPhone 15 Pro with its previous version iPhone 14 Pro.

There are major upgrades from the Apple iPhone 14 pro to the Apple iPhone 15 pro. Here are few
Apple iPhone 15 Pro

1. Upgrade from surgical grade stainless steel to Titanium Body:

Apple claims the iPhone 15 pro is the first ever to use aerospace-grade Titanium, the same material alloy that is used in the Mars Mission by NASA. Due to the usage of Titanium, the strength of the phone increases and at the same time the weight will be reduced.

2. Upgrade to USB 3.0 (USB C) port from USB 2.0 lighting port:

Thanks to EU laws that mandate the revolutionary change to use USB type C ports for all cell phones including the iPhone, Apple considered USB 3.0 which is 20 times faster than Apple’s traditional lightening cable. Also, the port comes as a display port which supports up to 4K HDR video output. Apple claims that the same cable can be used for all devices like Macs, and iPads as well.

3. Upgrade in Camera:

Despite there being no upgrade in hardware for the Camera we can see a minor upgrade in the software related to the Camera. The default resolution is now 24 MP. Upgrading to smart HDR 5 from HDR 4 should improve HDR processing. We can now record Spatial 3D videos which is compelling. The other upgrade is in low light photography which is improved a bit. Phone 15 Pro is the first smartphone to support ACES. Other than this there is no major upgrade.

4. Introduction of Action Button:

The major physical update is removing the traditional silent ring/switch which is there right from the beginning of the iPhone journey. Instead of a switch, Apple introduced an ‘Action’ button which can be used for multi-tasking like keeping the phone Silent, one-click Focus for the Camera, for capturing videos or photos, as a Flashlight button, as a Translator, as a Magnifier and can be used for other shortcuts.

5. Upgrade from A16 Bionic chip (5nm) to A17 Pro chip (3nm)

Apple iPhone 15 Pro is upgraded to A17 Pro check with 3nm (the world’s first 3 nm chip) and it uses accelerated try tracing for the first time which is 4 times faster than Apple iPhone 14 Pro as per Apple. The 6-core GPU with hardware-accelerated ray tracing is 20% faster than 14 Pro. This has high-resolution graphics and at the same time consumes less power as per Apple.

There are a few other minor differences like the display comes with a slight curve and the bezels are slightly less compared to 14 Pro. This is 0.4mm thicker than 14 Pro but the weight is 19 g lesser than 14 Pro thanks to Titanium. Coming to the precision, ‘Find my Phone’ has improved a bit.

iPhone 15 Pro colors are Natural Titanium, Blue Titanium, White Titanium, and Black Titanium color options and come with a price ₹ 1,34,900.00/-

Is it worth upgrading your phone from iPhone 14 Pro?

For the worth of 16K as per the specifications, it’s worth buying if you're looking for a lighter weight, new look, faster processor, and faster data transmission. If you are looking for a camera upgrade for a 16k price difference, we recommend not prefer the iPhone 15 Pro. The camera is more or less the same as 14 Pro except for some minor specifications like HDR 5, 24 MP as default resolution, etc. If you are looking for a major upgrade in camera I would recommend the iPhone 15 Pro Max because of its 120mm focal length with 5x optical zoom the longest optical zoom of any iPhone ever also 15 Pro Max can support 25x zoom with sharp and close-up images.
